Myself and my fellow study abroad students getting ready to hike the Arenal Volcano with our tour guide! The Arenal Volcano is an active volcano in La Fortuna, Costa Rica and is considered one of the smaller volcanoes located in Costa Rica. The volcano is 7000 years old and is located next to the Chato Volcano. The hike was very difficult with steep falls and slippery rocks but the view of the volcano up close is incredible. After the long hike we all traveled to the nearby hot springs to help relieve some of the muscle aches from the long hike.
