This picture was taken in Sarchí which is in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. This town is very well known for its beautiful and colorful oxcarts that have been made there for over a century. These oxcarts are hand-painted and were used for transporting goods across the country such as coffee beans. The oxcarts are incredibly ornate and is a Costa Rican tradition that many families pass down through the generations.
